Our Speaker
Isaac Mizrahi is a celebrated fashion designer, talk show host, writer, and director. He was the co-creator and star of the award-winning documentary Unzipped, and the subject of a large-scale survey at the Jewish Museum in New York City. Before all of that, he was a young boy struggling to navigate the “differentness” of growing up gay in a Syrian Jewish Orthodox community. Acclaimed for its honesty, insight, and wit, Mizrahi’s memoir, I.M., was an instant New York Times bestseller.
Our Honoree
Nicole Nathan Gibson has worked quietly and tirelessly for many years supporting diversity and inclusion in Houston and beyond. Nicole is a regional board member and has served as the regional chair for the Anti-Defamation League. She is currently a member of The Kinkaid School’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council and the Alumni Association Board. Nicole is also working with others in Houston to bridge relationships between Muslim and Jewish women through the Sisterhood of Salaam Shalom, and she serves on the board at Congregation Beth Israel.
