Our Speaker
Gary Gulman is one of the most popular comics in the country. With humor, vulnerability, and honesty, Gary de-stigmatizes mental illness and offers hope for its treatment. In The Great Depresh, the combination stand-up special and documentary on HBO, Gary collaborated with Judd Apatow (The Jung Center’s 2021 Spring Benefit speaker) to tell the story of his depression with self-deprecation, candor, and a fresh, substantive perspective. We are happy to share, as Gary likes to say, that his depression is in remish.

Our Honorees
Kimberly Hickson Spaw and David Spaw work tirelessly in the Houston community and, specifically, for The Jung Center. David is a trustee of The Jung Center, cofounder of our Community for Conscious Aging, and cofounder of Healing Circles Houston, an initiative providing emotional and social support for healing ourselves in community. His team is part of a global movement offering circles virtually throughout North America, at numerous healthcare institutions and around the globe. Kimberly’s earth stewardship informed an architectural career focused on healthy, high-performance design. She is retired and volunteers her talents to nonprofits including The Jung Center and HSPVA Friends Board of Directors for the Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.
