Our Speaker Esther Perel

is a best-selling author, psychotherapist, and expert on intimacy and relationships. The Belgian-born daughter of Holocaust survivors, Ms. Perel speaks provocatively about human interaction – how personal and professional relationships work. Her innovative models for building strong and lasting relationships have won acclaim across five continents. Ms. Perel’s TED Talk has attracted more than six million views, and her books, Mating in Captivity and The State of Affairs, are both international bestsellers. Ms. Perel hosts a popular podcast, Where Should We Begin?, and her work has been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, the Wall Street Journal, and Cosmopolitan, and on Oprah, The Today Show, and The Colbert Report. The New York Times named Ms. Perel as the most important game-changer on sexuality and relationships since Dr. Ruth. In addition to practicing psychotherapy in New York, Ms. Perel also serves on the faculty of The Family Studies Unit, Department of Psychiatry, New York University Medical Center, and the International Trauma Studies Program at Columbia University.
