Learn the gentle art of origami. This art form dates back to the creation of paper more than 1500 years ago. Its rich history is based in sacred ceremony and artistic reflection on nature. We can find harmony as we transform a simple sheet of paper, in a process that cultivates precision and a sense of awe - part geometry and part Zen. Students will be introduced to the basics of paperfolding. Birds, containers, butterflies, frogs and flowers are just a few of the models you will learn. Suitable for anyone with an interest in origami. Age 13 to adult. Materials are included in the registration fee. |
