Revel in your curiosity and sense of adventure and rediscover your creativity. In this fun, fast-paced workshop we will be using collage materials. No other medium is so easily accessible. Fragments of everyday life, literally anything that can be glued to paper or board can be used for collage. If you can tear, cut, paste and glue, then you can collage. This medium has a long and storied history dating back to Japanese calligraphers in the 12th century who prepared surfaces for their poems by gluing bits of paper and fabric to the background. Collage is an easily accessible introduction to art for the inexperienced as well as an ideal way to sharpen compositional skills and remove roadblocks to higher creativity. All materials will be provided. Demonstrations will be given and handouts distributed on various techniques and materials. Please bring a lunch. Snacks will be provided.

Linda Peyton Huff is a professional artist who has studied privately with Dorothy Hood and Patrick Palmer. She has exhibited in local galleries, and her work is in various private and public collections.
